About Author-
Qamar Rahman is an Environmental Toxicologist. Her contributions in the area of Nano Materials recognized Internationally and appointed her WHO’s and European Union’s External Advisor on the safety of Nanomaterials.
She has also worked and highlighted specific problems in different organized and unorganized sectors in India where women workers are exposed to toxic chemicals and suggested measures for their protection. Conferred honorary doctorate from Rostock University, Germany in 2009; first Indian in the 600 years' history of the University to receive this honor. Received Vigyan Vibhushan and Yesh Bharti award from the UP Chief Minister, also Listed among 10 Brightest Women Scientists of India. Honored as Picard Fellow at the University of Lafayette, Louisiana, USA.
